We ended up doubling the recipe because of a slight confusion when reading the recipe (written by someone from another country) but after a few adjustments and additions the recipe for a single batch of dog treats is:

2 Cups Chicken/Beef Stock
1 Cup All Purpose/Bread Flour (with plenty of extra)
2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 Cup Instant Oatmeal
1/2 Cup Dry Milk
1 tsp Yeast
1/4 Cup Honey
Mix together either in a large mixing bowl or your bread machine...more chicken/beef stock (or water) or flour may be necessary! (We needed quite a bit more flour then called for!)
Roll out dough into a thick sheet on a well-floured surface.

Use cookie cutters to cut your shapes and place on a greased pan.

Let the treats rise for 30 minutes.
Bake at 325 degrees for 45-60 minutes. Let cool COMPLETELY before removing from pan (we were told to leave the treats in the oven to cool overnight, so that's what we're doing).
If you aren't going to use your treats within a week, store them in the freezer. (Ours will be going into the freezer tomorrow morning!)
The girls were rathar silly at the beginning of the project...

...and in true fashion, things got slightly violent as the night progressed!

When everything was all said and done, there were lots of smiles all around!

The dog treats turned out pretty good too! They even make the house smell like freshly baked bread!

We didn't entirely finish our treat-making experience tonight...I have one shelf in my refridgerator filled with un-cooked treats...two layers even! I guess I'll be baking more treats tomorrow!

Okay, the pictures help explain the 2 white handprints in the middle of Morgan's back!
It was a fun time....thank you Heather for having so much energy and for making the evening so fun for Morgan!
Although it would have been fun to watch the 'baking' of doggie treats - I guess I wouldn't have gone throught the work :( .... the Grandma who doesn't like to bake!
The dogs will love you gals - who knows it may be your new business enterprise.
